I have learned a lot about myself during this journey. I am staying between 203-206 pounds while continuing to trim down my waist and build muscle. My core work has helped tremendously with trimming my waist and making me stronger and fitter. I am focused on varying my workout routines and including body weight chin ups, pull ups, and dips. These are all things that I never thought I would be able to do. I was introduced to Dragon boat Racing Wednesday evening by a friend from the Ports Authority. It really helped me gage my fitness progress. We did a semi-hard work out for an hour that included some sprints and simulated starts. I felt strong throughout the routine, recovered quickly from each sprint, and felt pretty good Thursday morning after the Dragon Boat practice and a hard back workout earlier Wednesday. YEH FOR FITNESS!
Polly and I continue to focus on taking care of ourselves and each other so we can be the best people possible for our loved ones and friends. This focus has helped us become closer to one another and strengthened our relationships with the people we love in our lives. We are in a great place!
fatguydiary.com is very close to being ready for its overhaul! Canaan just completed the new layout/foundation and it looks good! Marjory emailed me the complete first draft of Fat Guy Diary (the book) a few days ago. I am in the middle of reviewing/editing it now and Polly will review it right behind me.
I continue to work on my ‘volunteer’ passion. I REALLY want to make a difference in fighting the Childhood Obesity Epidemic! My hope is that I can use my time, energy, and story to bring agencies and people together to find the best strategy to turn this epidemic around. Yes Folks, the Titanic has hit the Iceberg and we are WATCHING it go down……….. we are watching our kids become a BIG part of our Health Care Crisis!
