I need to lose weight for my health and quality of life. I do not know the final destination, but I do know I need to start the journey! I want and need to be more positive about myself and my future even with the things that are happening in the world and the economy. I need to take care of me so I can best help my family and community. 0

Mar 9, 2009 339.8 11.2 I started today wanting to duplicate last week. A had a cantaloupe for breakfast. I felt like crap till mid-morning. I made a decision that I could not continue with the 7 day diet for a second week. I switched to a low carb plan based on the Atkins approach. back 30

Mar 30, 2009 329.6 21.4 wow 21 lbs. in 4 weeks, not bad! I feel much better. I do think SUGAR has been my enemy. I am now very aware of the sugar content in all foods! I have eliminated sweetener from my coffee and caffeine from my diet, other than the caffeine in the DMC7 I just started taking. on this day I feel very good about loosing the 150 lbs. Apr 2, 2009 328.4 22.6 I need to pay more attention to portion size. I had a three egg / turkey / mushroom / cheese omelet this morning and I am stuffed. I will start eliminating extra salt today. One thing that has helped me tremendously is water! I start off every day with at least 20 oz. of water before I eat anything. it helps me to start my day right, get hydrated and enable me to drink plenty of water each day. I only drink water with my meals. This afternoon will start a 5 day test for me. Polly and I will be traveling to Columbia and then Pickens to get her parents settled back in Pickens. Effie has been dealing with a broken hip the past month or so and they have been in Columbia and Charleston the entire time. This will definitely test my eating and life habits. Apr 19, 2009 317 34 protein shake before church. On March 2, 2009 I was wearing 52″ pants and they were tight! I am now in baggy 50″ pants. I continue to feel good. I think the focus on the water intake, especially first thing in the morning is one reason for this healthier feeling. I never feel thirsty which helps to curb my hunger. I know that when I get dehydrated sometimes I confuse thirst and hunger. Then obviously, I eat too much!! traveled to Charlotte & back 0
